FALL CARNIVAL

The Fall Carnival took place on October 13, 2007.  This celebration of fall had a lot of activities for the kids to take advantage of.  The favorites were the Rock Wall, blow up Obstacle Course, and the Slide/Moon Bounce.  We also had clowns and a pumpkin craft, a golf cart safety course, a support the troops booth, and a hay ride.  The New Smyrna Humane Society also brought a few of their friends for the adults and children alike to interact with.  Plus, there were lots of hot dogs and cotton candy.

We also did some fundraising with a 50/50 Raffle, a Pitch & Burst game and chair massages.  The raffle winner was Carol Foley who donated her portion of the winnings back to the Committee for a total of $160.  Dedicated, brave souls with a good sense of humor, Paul Brevard, Jim Dyer & Alan Baltz sat under the shower of the Pitch & Burst.  Combined with massages by Ron Ghaffarian and Angela Taque raised another $365.  We also had some donations in response to our Update ad for a total raised of $850.  Not bad for our first fundraiser of this type.

There were many volunteers on board with whom the event could not have happened.  There was the core planning group of volunteers: Christina Ensminger, Marcie Crawford, Bobbie Platt, Mary Seagrave & Ginny Gawthorpe.

In addition were many others that did a variety of things to help with the event: Steve Platt, Eleanor Trotter, Karen Reese, Tiffani Cook, Kathy & Roy Sovoco, Geoff & PoaChen Davis, Sam & Stacia Russo, Janet Henkel, Debbie Kramer, Petra VanZandt, Grace Everitt, Sal DeVincenzo, Joseph Perog, Jr. Kevin & Angela Taque, Keith Sprague & volunteers, Brenda Weiss, Anne Busse-Gandt, and Dana Ensminger.

This party also was a celebration of October birthdays.
