ANNUAL EASTER CELEBRATION

The Spruce Creek Annual Easter Event took place on April 7, 2007.  The event was a huge success!  Many thanks for all the volunteers that allowed the event to run so smoothly.  A special thanks to the volunteers on the planning committee with the Committee Members: Mary Seagrave, Bobbie Platt, & Ginny Gawthorpe.  Many thanks to all the kids of the community, their parents and grandparents for participating in the event.

There was of course the traditional Easter Egg Hunt.  Kids had to hunt for eggs throughout the playground area.  When they got five, more or less, they traded the eggs in for an Easter Treat bag filled with toys, activities, and some candy.

Under the tents we had refreshments consisting of fruit and cookies and  juice and water.  There were three crafts for the children to choose from.  There was Easter egg dying, a egg scratch off craft, and Easter pictures to color.  They were all a lot of fun.

The main attraction though was of course the Easter Bunny.  He hopped around greeting all the children and adults, too.  He got lots of hugs and blew many kisses.
