ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY

The Spruce Creek Annual Back to School Party took place on August 12, 2007.  This pirate themed party was a huge success!  The large pool slide was a main attraction.  It was hot & dry outside so it was the perfect refreshment.  The DJ did a great job mixing up the music & leading some tradition games like the Hula Hoop contest and also a few new ones like the Walk the Plank game.

One of the biggest attractions of the evening was the Treasure Dig.  Buried within a huge pile of sand were lots of treasures to be uncovered.  Many kids walked away with some fun goodies.  And of course, no party would be complete without hot dogs & snow cones plus lots of other treats for the kids to enjoy.

There were many volunteers on board with whom the event could not have happened.  There was the core group of volunteers along with the Committee: Christina Ensminger, Marcie Crawford, Bobbie Platt, Mary Seagrave & Ginny Gawthorpe.

In addition were many others that did a variety of things to help with the event: Scott Seagrave, Steve Platt, Betty Gawthorpe, Judy Martin, Sylvia Cook, Kathy & Roy Sovoco, Geoff & PoaChen Davis, Belinda & Steve Wood, Kim Lache, Mary & Bob Colgan, Gisela & Paul Everitt, Annette Fehlhaber and Julie Hornwood & David Rose.

This party also was a celebration of August birthday.
